SECTION II: FINES & SUSPENSIONS
A. Turn-Out Fines
1. Members and/or contestants will be fined and/or suspended for failure to abide by articles, by-laws and rules of this association.
2. Contestants turning out of a rodeo at position of callback after receiving his first preference will be fined $50.00 not receiving his preference will be fined $10.00. (This will not include entry fees at time of call back)
Contestants turning out on Friday after receiving his first preference will be fined $100.00, not receiving his first preference will be fined $10.00.
Contestants turning out of a rodeo after Friday at 5PM and up to three hours before the first performance or slack will be fined $100.00 regardless of his preference.
Three hours before the first performance or slack and ANY UN-NOTIFIED turn out will be fined $200.00.
All turnouts’ fines will include applicable entry fees.
(a) Contestants will be fined $200.00 if he chooses to turn out stock while present at the rodeo.
(b) A contestant turning out stock in the slack performance may still qualify to take his stock in another event during the paid performance.
(c) A turn-out fine will be waived for one (1) week from the turn-out date before a contestant’s name appears on the suspended list. Entry fees must be paid before the end of the rodeo.
(d) Turn-out fine will be paid to the association.
(e) Turn-out fine will be waived if a contestant is set up at two LRA rodeos for the same performance without sufficient time to travel between the two. (Contestant will still be liable for all entry fees.)
(f) If a contestant’s first head of stock is turned out by a judge, he will still be eligible to take his second head in second event but will be liable for the turn-out fine for the turned out stock. (Revised July 3, 2019)
(g) Slack may be entered as a first preference. Fines will be assessed the same as if entering a performance.
(h) Junior/Peewee event contestants do not pay a turn out fine if they notify the LRA office by Friday (the week of entries) at 5:00 PM. Junior contestants’ entry fees will be doubled if office is not notified
ENTRY FEES: Entry fees will be paid at the rodeo, if you fail to do so, there will be a $50.00 fine to etransfer the office afterwards.
2023
On March 4 the following rules were added.
- Any approved contractors must have their stock number branded prior to submitting draw sheet to the office. Any stock that is bucked without a number brand, the stock contractor will receive a $100 fine per animal.
-In order to qualify stock for the finals, the stock must be number branded and have 2 trips at a LRA mother rodeo.
-Any unbranded stock bucked at a rodeo will not count towards the finals
-Stock must be at St. Paul Wednesday prior to the finals by 6PM to be inspected

Any rodeos with 5 or less in a performance in the Steer Wrestling, the contestant will have the option of entering twice.

SECTION VI: STOCK CONTRACTORS
*A. GENERAL
Contractors must provide suitable stock for the Novice Horse Riding and Junior Bull Riding. (For example: No chute fighting, no first timers, and no stock too strong for the contestants). Should the LRA Board decide the stock is inappropriate, the stock contractors will be fined $500.00.
Stock contractors must supply number brands when submitting stock list to the office
If any of the above rules are broken the stock contractor could accrue a fine up to $500, ay the discretion of the board of directors. ( May 3, 2022)
July 13
Ladies and Junior Breakaway will be ran with an open gate.
The rope must breakaway from the saddle horn before the calf enters the catch pen. If it does not, it will result in a No Time.
2024
contractors to send in personnel: Timers, Bull Fighters, Secretary, and Pick Up men for all rodeos.
Interpretation
Amend rule 15 One of the timers must have hold a current membership card.
Any barrel racer that fails to show for duties will result in a
$100 fine on 1 st offense/ $250 fine on second offense/ $500 Fine on third offense.
any new rodeo, or any amend to the approval must be made 45 days prior to the start of
rodeo.

The rope must be completely around the calves neck. In both junior and senior breakaway

Junior / Novice / Peewee – 7 Rodeos 5 Lra mother rodeos
